Principal
Welcome to WestWood!
I am honored to serve as interim principal of this wonderful school community. I have been in education since 2003 and began in Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools in 2004 as a 2nd grade teacher at WestWood, where I taught for twelve years. I then spent five years in a variety of leadership roles in PLSAS including peer coach, Q-Comp coordinator and dean of students. Following that, I was the principal at the K-8 school in Montgomery, MN for three years before returning to PLSAS last school year where I served as dean of students at WestWood. I absolutely love being an educator and am grateful to have returned to WestWood!
I received a Bachelor's of Science in elementary education from Drake University, a Master's of Teaching and Learning from St. Mary’s University, and my Educational Specialist/K-12 Administrative License from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
My husband and I live in the community and have two children. Our children are active in many sports, which keeps us very busy. We love to spend time as a family playing games, being outside, watching sports and traveling.
I believe in creating a supportive school community where students can thrive socially, emotionally and academically. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year ahead!
